Interested in getting your real estate license in Colorado? Well the good news is that if you are already a licensed Realtor in any of these states: Alabama, Alberta, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia or Wyoming, you will not need any additional education or testing to obtain your real estate license.
If you are not licensed in one of those states or you are getting your license for the first time, you will need to meet the requirements outlined below.
To Obtain Your Real Estate License in Colorado all Applicants Must:
- Be at least 18 years of age or older
- Be a U.S. Citizen or alien authorized to work in the U.S.
- Complete all pre-license educational requirements
- Complete a full background check which includes fingerprinting
- Fill out a Realtor license application
- Successfully pass the CO. real estate exam with a score of 75% or better
Pre-license Educational Requirements:
In order to receive your real estate license in the State of Colorado, you are required to complete their educational requirements at a state approved school, you can find a list of those here. There are a lot of schools in the list so we do recommend that you call around for pricing before choosing one.

You might take a look at ProSchools which offers a Colorado real estate exam prep course online. The link to the page is here:

ProSchools is pretty well regarded by several states real estate commission boards, so they do have a good reputation in the industry.
While I am sure there are some others, that is the only one I am aware of. A lot of the online courses are offered for states like California and such that have a higher turn-over of Realtors.
